Through our activities we help children to discover new passions, new talents and to understand that they have enormous potential.

Open Trail is a registered charity established to encourage young people, of Worcestershire and the West Midlands, to strive for more than they think possible, despite their own personal circumstances. Bikes and the outdoors are our tools for developing confidence – resilience -independence

Get Outdoors!

Forest School. Get the fire on, cook up some tasty treats, have a go at blind-folded challenges, build a survival camp, use knives and saws, and go where ever your imagination takes you! Let the kid’s decide!

We offer forest school on YOUR school site! These sessions are flexible to your requirements; such as traditional Forest School with child-led play and personal enquiry or curriculum based sessions.

We have our own Forest School site at Burlish Bike Park, provide outdoor sessions for small groups. Get in touch for more information.

Get Active!

Open Trail cycle coaching teaches progressive cycling, from balance bike sessions, to learning to ride for the first time to group riding, racing and tackling multiple terrains. We offer one-off days or a series of sessions, or a special week of activities from progressing basic skills to races, fun games and challenges.

Our aim is for all children to leave primary school, able to ride a bike. If your pupils cannot ride independently, we can teach them to cycle in no time!

Our ‘Ultimate Skills Track’ is new and exciting. We can provide a special wooden bike track and obstacles, which will challenge your pupil’s cycling, push their skills and show them what they are truly capable of.

Burlish Bike Park is our brand new facility! A woodland full of mountain bike/BMX trails of varying difficulty; suitable for disability adapted bikes, stabilisers and balance bikes up to elite level racers flying over huge jumps

Get Rewarded!

It’s not always possible to reward your pupils with exciting school trips, so… let us bring the excitement to you with our ‘Reward Days’!

Whether it is for hard work, citizenship, making good choices or outstanding achievements, we provide one-off reward days for our Forest School and Bike Coaching.

Get Inspired!

We offer assemblies from:

-GB Cycling Team Racer and 2X Women’s World Series 4X Mountain Bike Champion Hannah Escott.

-GB Cycling Team Racer and 2X Men’s World BMX Champion Scott Beaumont.

A whole host of topics, and case studies from around the world
