Ditching the Stabilisers!

1:1 bike lessons for children and adults

Summer time! The time for riding through dusty forest tracks, rolling around tarmac off road cycling paths, and exploring our beautiful local area in the sunshine… but of course these experiences are gained from that very first independent pedal stroke.

Hannah has been overwhelmed with requests for her “Learn to Ride” sessions, where would-be peddlers come to Brinton’s Park for 1:1 bike lessons to rid those stabilisers and find their balance. Most people have been able to master pedalling within a 1 hour session.

It’s not just been for the children either, many parents and adults have embraced cycling for the first time from these sessions. Those that missed out on the opportunity as children have courageously taken on the challenge and never looked back.

“This is a dream come true! I cannot believe I left it this long!”

“I love bikes! I love bikes! I love bikes! Mum can we do this every day?”

The focus on determined faces is great to see and inevitably results in huge smiles, big hugs and tears of joy when Hannah’s students pedal around the park completely independently.

It’s like riding a bike: once you learn you never forget!
